As one can see from this photo the Quichua folks are pleasant to be around ! The children always win you over with their affection and enthusiasm. These kids are like sponges and are just waiting to soak up any knowledge you throw their way. As a volunteer one always feels welcomed and needed. I strongly encourage anyone who wishes to volunteer in an international environment that this is an excellent opportunity. The Quichua villages willingly accept help with their education, potable water, crop irrigation, and health concerns. Many volunteers have now passed through these communities and there are always productive projects to do. So don't just travel, but travel making a difference !
